holiday edition: my favorite christmas/holiday songs
Phoebe Bridgers- Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas: This one is Christmas to me. There’s something about the way she sings and the atmosphere the music creates that makes the whole season feel softer, a little sad but in the best way. I put it on every year when the tree’s lit and the house is quiet.
Fleet Foxes- White Winter Hymnal: This is the ultimate folk Christmas song, even if it’s not technically one. It’s been on my holiday playlists forever, and it just fits—snowy walks, cozy fires, all of it. Their harmonies go crazy and hit every time.
Lucy Dacus- Last Christmas: Lucy’s version is so cunty and fun that I almost can’t believe it’s her. It’s bold and a little chaotic in the best way—like she’s just having a good I always forget this song exists but play it on repeat when I find it again
Bleachers- Merry Christmas, Please Don’t Call: This song hurts in the most nostalgic way. It’s all about that Christmas heartbreak—the kind you almost look back on fondly, even if it sucked at the time. Jack Antonoff knows exactly how to make a holiday song feel personal, like it’s meant just for you.

holiday edition: my favorite christmas/holiday style
Noting says cozy Christmas to me like a nice pair of pajamas, and lately I’ve been losing this set from Graviet! The stripes are just so classic and make me wanna curl up with a blanket and my favorite Christmas movie
If you’re like me and only like sad Christmas music and Mistletoe by Justin Bieber…. this is your soundtrack
This yeah I’ve been super into a whimsical vintage holiday vibe… think warm, nostalgic holiday atmosphere that blends vintage charm, handmade decor, and cozy candlelit gatherings straight from Little Women. Paper stars or chains, bows, mix match candlesticks and eclectic tableware. See my pinterest board for the vision!
holiday edition: my favorite christmas/holiday movies
Carol – Carol is the ultimate Christmas movie for anyone who knows that the holidays are as much about yearning as they are about joy. Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara move through snowy streets and dimly-lit diners in a love letter to quiet glances and unsaid things. It’s beautiful, it’s bittersweet, and it’s undeniably sapphic—a true lesbian classic that makes the cold feel warmer and the holidays feel a little more intimate.
Eloise At Christmastime: I love how much of a menace Eloise is, in the most glamorous way possible. Watching it now feels like stepping right back into that world where the Plaza is decked out in lights, and Eloise is running wild, causing chaos but somehow making it look chic. There’s something about the way she stirs up trouble that feels comforting, like a reminder of being a kid and believing Christmas could be as magical (and dramatic) as you wanted it to be.
Love Actually – One of those movies I can watch a million times and still get completely wrapped up in. I love how all the stories intertwine. It’s not just about the perfect happy endings, it’s about the awkward moments, the longing, the vulnerability. It’s the kind of movie that feels like a bit of a gut punch and hug all in one. Plus, it’s got that holiday magic that that wraps everything up perfectly
