Julien Baker, Calvin Lauber, SOAK, Quinn Christopherson- Get Me Away From Here, I’m Drowning: an incredibly long list of artists but this is insane cover and the star of the show is Julien Baker of course. I love how they took the song and make it something that sounds like Julien could have wrote it herself.

2. Olivia Dean- Touching Toes: Olivia Dean can do no wrong… the guitar paired with her voice is just angelic

3. Grace Gardner, buffchick- Big Picture: this is a powerhouse duo of indie singer-songwriters! I love both these artists lots and it was so fun to see them pair up to make something so beautiful

1. I just discovered this small knitwear business called Amano. All the sweaters and pieces are made by incredibly talented knitters located in rural Ecuador. Their pieces are so sick and it’s great to support such a cool independent brand!

new movies and tv shows on my radar right now

1. Alright another movie review…. I just watched Aubrey Plaza’s recent film My Old Ass and. I am blown away. This movie was insanely funny, incredibly real and current, and also so heartbreaking and inspirational. It talks about the power of love and living life to the fullest in the least cheesy, most authentic way. Aubrey is amazing in this, and so is Maisy Stella, who plays the leading roll.

2. The Gladiator II movie premiere was this week and the highlights were Paul Mescal interacting with co-star Pedro Pascal and Paul Mescal interacting with previous co-star Andrew Scott (this one made me cry it’s so wholesome)

 Ins and outs for this month? 👑📅🫶

Ins - walking slow, Cherry Coke Zero, mixing my own castor oil/frankincense body moisturizer, 'My Brilliant Friend' TV series. My nylon guitar from Martin. Packing cubes for my suitcase (WHO KNEW), wearing Nikes or Adidas 24/7, sleeping. 

Outs - sprinting, doom scrolling, heels, pushing myself as far as I can go, letting the dishes sit in the sink, plucking my eyebrows at all ever, insomnia, texting “lol” (I’m happy to type out all my “hahahaha”s), black and white, AI. 

What’s your favorite hobby right now? What’s a hobby you want to get into this year?🛹🧘‍♀️📷

Oh man I just started getting back into and on horses. I would sleep in a barn rn if I could. 

Fashion pieces you’re interested in lately? 👜👡🧥

Quality over quantity always. Used over new. My algorithm is full of used and antique jewelry and rings. Also... I was at a thrift store last week and almost bought this massive white tool lace wedding skirt and I’m still thinking about it….

Any interesting/silly/fun recent tour anecdotes?

Popick (my bff and my drummer) share our locations with each other so even when we're not on tour with one another we can see exactly where the other person is. We text each other things like “Starbucks, eh?” Or “at the Kroger for the second time this week, huh?” Or….”what r u doing in Denver” or “why 81 south??” 

Describe your recent work with a color/mood/season

I’ve been leaning into the internal feels of fall…how in this season we start to slow down and notice more about ourselves, our pace, our heartbeat. The world noise gets quieter and the little things get louder. Trees shed leaves and are barren. I’m shedding some things and desires that don’t feel like they are alive in me anymore. 

Is there an artist you’ve seen live that blew you away?

I went to see the Sweat Tour. need i say more? It’s a cultural movement. I haven’t felt so energized since I saw Robyn at the Palladium some years ago…. And that time I was on drugs! 

What are you listening to right now?

A flight crew person describing how to hold onto my ankles in the event of a crash landing….

What song/lyric are you most proud of?

"Nothing is a waste of time." I tell myself this often. Mostly when sitting in traffic or if I wake up and can’t get back to sleep at night. Or if I have to do ANYTHING twice. .

Giant, Tales of earthsea, Die hard, Practical Magic

What’s a lyric you think about often?

Hmmmmmm right now it’s “sometimes we don’t get to love the one we’re meant to” but I rotate between a few. Right now though, I keep coming back to Feist.
