1. My current favorite fashion inspo is loafers with a fun sock in a pop of color. I think this adds such a fun detail to any classic fall/winter outfit. I’ve pinned a bunch of examples on my personal style board!

2. Election day can be a spooky time! Here’s my list of songs that help calm me down when I’m feeling a bit anxious… which will be needed today for sure

BOTW THE BEACHES

The Beaches are a Canadian rock band from Toronto, known for their edgy blend of alternative rock, pop, and punk. Formed in 2013 by sisters Jordan and Kylie Miller, along with Leandra Earl and Eliza Enman-McDaniel, they gained widespread attention with their debut album Late Show (2017) and singles like "Money" and "T-Shirt." With influences ranging from Blondie to The Strokes, The Beaches have carved out a bold, empowering presence in the rock scene, winning a Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year in 2018 and continuing to captivate audiences with their energetic performances and relatable, rebellious lyrics. In this interview, guitarist Kylie Miller is here to give fans a glimpse into the band’s world—from life on tour to favorite movies and everything in between.

Kylie Miller (Lead Guitarist) :

Ins: Matcha, Hiking, Modelo in a bottle, Quality time with friends, The Teletubbies, Lola Young 

Outs: Being sick, Living out of a suitcase, White claw, Stress, Crowded bars

What’s your favorite hobby right now? What’s a hobby you want to get into this year?🛹🧘‍♀️📷

Kylie: My favourite hobby right now is probably hiking and working outside. This year I’ve been really focused on maintaining a workout routine. I find it really helps while being on the road so much. 

Fashion pieces you’re interested in lately? 👜👡🧥

Kylie: Leopard print everything, scrunchy socks, dark wash denim and sweater vests. 

Piece of media that’s influenced you 🎼🖼️🎬

Kylie: Sex and the city (the original series of course), Less Than Zero by Brett Easton Ellis and Play it as it lays by Joan Didion. 

Any interesting/silly/fun recent tour anecdotes?

Kylie: We got really into playing dice this past tour. So far Jordan is the only person to have won multiple times. 

Describe your recent work with a color/mood/season

Kylie: The new beaches era is totally blue. It’s moody and is focused on looking inward. 

What song/lyric are you most proud of?

Kylie: Probably our new song Jocelyn. We wrote it about struggling with newfound fame and becoming a role model when you’re not feeling super confident in yourself. We named the song after a real fan who we stalked online. 

Top 4 favorite films?

Kylie: Man On Fire, The Woman in Black, The Room, Almost Famous. 

What’s a lyric you think about often?

Kylie:

After being on the road for the better part of 2 years, it’s been quite a wild experience. The song talks about loving the adventure of being away but also feeling homesick. I think we can relate to that feeling really well right now.
