1. Ok back again with red pop of color inspo… lately I’ve been seriously considering buying a cute pair or strappy wine red flats or mary janes! Some I’ve had my eye on lately are these Luke Leather Ballet Flats from Aloha and the Vagabond Delia Mary Janes!

1. The Golden Globes were this week! Here’s some of the most memorable moments, including many Wicked references and Demi Moore’s first win for her starring role in Substance!

2. The official trailer for Kristen Stewart’s upcoming movie Love Me is here! I love movies about space and feel like this romance story is super creative… I can’t wait to see how they pull this off. This movie is in theaters January 31st.

3. Speaking of outer space, Netflix is bringing back the classic movie Interstellar, as well as another Christopher Nolan film Inception, and a favorite of mine I mentioned a few weeks ago, Love Actually.

BOTW Hana Eid

Hana Eid is an indie rock and alternative artist based in Nashville, known for her raw, confessional songwriting and dynamic live performances. What’s your favorite hobby right now? What’s a hobby you want to get into this year?🛹🧘‍♀️📷

My favorite hobby right now is playing chess! I’ve been painting a bit too this season which has been nice. I’d love to get back into crocheting in the new year, or learn to knit. I have all of these hypothetical sweater ideas I’m dying to execute hahah.

Piece of media that’s influenced you 🎼🖼️🎬

The aesthetics of horror films have been a big influence on the visual world for my artist project – I cited the goriness of X and Pearl a ton during the rollout for my EP back in February. I’ve also been revisiting one of my favorite authors, Tom Robbins, a ton this season. I’ve been really inspired by his sort of flippant approach to love & life etc. 

Any interesting/silly/fun recent tour anecdotes? 🎆🤪🙈

While I was on tour with sombr back in July, we got caught in the middle of a tornado in upstate New York & had to bunker down in a Circle K. We could actually see a tornado forming right in front of us; I’d never seen anything like it. It was pretty scary once we got back on the road, too – no visibility, hailing down hard. However, later that week the new “Twisters” movie came out & we all went to see it in Amarillo, TX! Sort of serendipitous haha. 

Any New Year’s Resolutions?🍂🌨️🌼

 I don’t really do “resolutions,” but I made a list of 10 things I’m doing in the new year: 

1) I am financially abundant. I make a living off of my music full-time.

2) I’ve performed at my first festival. 

3) I prioritize my health by going to the gym & eating whole foods. 

4) I prioritize travel & being open to new people, cultures, & places. 

5) I love others without condition or expectation. I love because it is better that way! It is an essential part of the human experience that I choose to embrace tightly – even when it is uncomfortable. 

6) I am spending less time on my phone. 

7) I am creating more than I consume. 

8) I am showing myself grace & kindness. I am not bound by the person I was yesterday or the person I will be tomorrow. I am attending the present moment.

9) I dance more & I don’t care what I look like!

10) I have made many new, impactful friendships/relationships & nurturing the ones I have with intention.

 Recently, I’ve “Swimming” by Pinegrove, “DENIAL IS A RIVER” by Doechii, & the entirety of “The Essential Bob Dylan” record on loop. 9. Describe your recent work by a color/season/mood/something interesting. My recent work has been sort of a grey-ish blue color. & feeling like the way bright sunlight comes through the windows in my house even though it’s freezing outside.

What song/lyric are you most proud of? 📓🪞💌

“I could talk to you with my eyes closed / I could know you before I fall” from my song, Austin Song, are some of my favorites. It’s sort of like – I could talk to you & know you deeply without seeing you or being attracted to you. Just really wanting to know someone wholly before making a thing of it. It’s a very pure & sweet thought.
