a discovery playlist featuring weekly top 10 music releases
Mitski- If I Leave: I’ve been SO excited for this album and this song is the kind of high-intensity, sit-alone-in-your-room-and-cry moment that only she can deliver
Grace Ives- Stupid Bitches: Grace might’ve been hovering on your “I’ll check her out soon” list, but “Stupid Bitches” officially moves her into main character territory. Consider this your soft launch into stanning early because something tells me she’s very much on the rise.
flowerovlove- Casual Lady: The kind of track you throw on when you’re romanticizing your walk home and lowkey becoming the main character. Effortless alt-pop moment that feels cool without trying.

Here’s a look at Abigail’s favorite music lately, meme’s and the like:
ALL THINGS MUSIC
Miss World by Hole (Courtney Love) - Live Through This is one of my top 3 all-time favorite albums. I'm also an actor, and when I was 16 I booked a job where I played a teen "Courtney Love" type. I went down a rabbit hole (😉) and pretty much only listened to 90s alt rock for the next 2 years. Also, I grew up in Kentucky. Courtney showed me there are different ways to be a woman.
Mirtazapine by Hayley Williams - A love letter to her antidepressant? Count me in.
Scream It to the Whole World by Abigail Fierce (me) - I wrote this song as a healing thing. I never thought I would release it, but I decided it was too important of a song to not release. When I get messages from people who say this song helped them come out, it's the best feeling in the world. (I always say my music is like Courtney Love & Alanis Morissette mixed with Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran and I think you can really hear all my influences on this track.)
ALL THINGS INTERNET
Every year, I roast the Valentine's Day section at the grocery store. This year there were some...um...questionably shaped items.
Singing my song "I Just Wanna Feel Okay Again" to my chihuahua puppy before he got wild and sassy.
I have a trend idea: "Me talking to my (former self) about (something embarrassing I did)" using my "14 Cigarettes" lyric "We didn't die a natural death you killed us with disrespect." For example, "me talking to my middle school self about wearing mint green corduroys" 🤦🏻♀️
ALL THINGS STYLE
I'm obsessed with pairing something glamorous (a sparkly red dress) with something more punk (fishnets, chunky boots) as exemplified by the dress I wore to Sundance for the premiere of my film.
Brown Lipstick (Quickly become my signature)
My latest single "14 Cigarettes" mentions "driving away in your old mustang with my cassette tapes on the dash." I kind of love vintage cars, so I did a cool, California license plate-themed merch t-shirt. I specifically chose the super comfy "Comfort Colors" brand and in black, so you can wear it when you're relaxing or accessorize and make it fashionable!
SONG LYRIC OF THE DAY
Fave lyric from my top song on Spotify "Girl in the Mirror": "Everybody acts like they know me so well, but how can that be when I don't even know myself?" I wrote that line years ago but it's really been feeling relevant again. The process of self-discovery never ends.
Thanks for hanging out with me!! I hope you enjoyed my picks and commentary and have a fun week!
Yours (in mild defiance),
Abigail Fierce
