Dear Besties 💌 Welcome Sad Girl Autumn!

FREE EDITION ☁️ Laufey wrote a book, Doechii’s on a jetski, and Lucy’s on Kimmel.

a discovery playlist featuring weekly top 10 music releases

  1. Not for Radio- Back To You: If you haven’t been able to get over The Maria’s set from ATG this year, might I suggest Maria’s solo project! This song feels like the sister song to Back To Me.

  2. Susannah Joffe, Baby Nova- Funeral: Another fantastic song from ATG’s compilation album. Covering Funeral by Phoebe Bridgers is just so fitting and they absolutely nailed it.

  3. Annie DiRusso, Samia- Back In Town: Another dream collab of mine! One of my favorite songs from Annie’s album, turned sadder, and paired with Samia’s beautiful voice? What more could a girl want.

things that i’ve been super into lately that i need to share with you guys

  1. I recently splurged on these Oakleys Factory Team shoes from Brain Dead and am soooo in love. They’re so stylish but so comfy and perfect for airports, camping etc. There’s so many cute colors too– I got the gray and blue ones but absolutely love the green.

  2. Here’s the perfect playlist for anyone who listens to Halloween by Phoebe Bridgers year-round that will help you lean into that sad/spooky mood even more.

  3. It is never too early to start planning holiday gifts! This gift guide for cool girls had me DROOLING I love sentimental gifts and I need that vintage cake stand.

movies, tv shows, and actors on my radar right now

  1. Between Amy Poelher hosting and Role Model performing, this last week’s SNL episode made history.

  2. I’ve recently gotten into Dancing with the stars, and my favorite contestant is, of course, Robert Irwin. I’m so obsessed with the fact he’s playing a character in the upcoming Zootopia 2 film that is literally named Robert Furwin.

  3. Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein is released in theaters this week and I want to go see it solely for the aesthetic… Mia Goth is absolutely perfect for this role and I have no doubt that Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi will deliver.

Dear Besties,

Life lately has been centered in simple joy honestly. Citibiking everywhere, journaling before work, coffee at home, cooking with friends, etc :)

ALL THINGS MUSIC

I’ve been obsessed with a few albums that I bought on vinyl recently, I swear it has made me listen to them in a new light.

A few highlight songs:

  1. Ceremony” - Galaxie 500

  2. Invisible Man” - The Breeders

  3. Leave Me Alone” - New Order

ALL THINGS INTERNET

  1. I am obsessed with King Charles dogs and I think this is the best video on the internet.

ALL THINGS STYLE

  1. I really am a Pinterest and Tumblr girl through and through - they are the social media platforms I use that are most conducive to inspiration and not comparison. I’ve been saving a lot of 90s editorial looks, although someone at a bar recently told me I dress business casual. Owning it I guess.

ALL THINGS REEL

  1. Twin Peaks for the first time and am obsessed.

  2. I am a serial rewatcher of New Girl- I think I could recite every episode by heart. My best friend and I send edits of Nick and Jess daily.

  3. Been eating a lot of twizzlers while watching Agnes Varda classics back to back. Girlhood ..

SONG LYRIC OF THE DAY

"I’m not asking for anything, just everything” - Thesis of my next project

Thank you for hanging with me, I hope to see you at a show soon!
